Fragrant Jewels (1993)

On September 20, 1993, Elizabeth and her adorable Maltese partner in crime, Sugar, held a press conference at New York’s Metropolitan Club to introduce not one, not two, but three new fragrances: Diamonds and Emeralds, Diamonds and Sapphires, and Diamonds and Rubies. They are known collectively as the Fragrant Jewels Collection. The bottle for each Fragrant Jewel is reminiscent of that of its predecessor, White Diamonds. Each is topped with a faux-diamond-encrusted bow; however, the diamonds are interspersed with the fragrance’s respective gemstone.

The television advertisement was directed by none other than John Frankenheimer (The Manchurian Candidate, Grand Prix). Elizabeth, once again accompanied by Sugar, stars as a glamorous jewel thief who outsmarts a persistent detective trailing her from one exotic locale to another. She’s dripping in jewelry from the House of Harry Winston, some of which she wears again in the print campaign, photographed by Bruce Weber, which also co-stars Sugar.
