In September 1957, shortly after the birth of their daughter, Liza, the Todds acquired a West Coast base at 1330 Schuyler Drive, a white stucco, Mediterranean-style home, in Beverly Hills. Schuyler Drive was only meant to be temporary accommodations for the Todds, and it was in this home that Elizabeth learned of Mike’s tragic death. Undoubtedly associated with this painful memory, she moved out of the home on Schuyler Drive and into one of the bungalows at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
