1960s TV Appearances

In the 1960s, Elizabeth Taylor accepted the first of her two Best Actress Oscars live on television and hosted her first TV special, filmed across the pond in the city of her birth. She and husband Richard Burton also lent their enormous star power to help launch a dear friend’s eponymous variety show and raised money and awareness for important causes.
